StreamCheck — Multi-Service Live Stream Orchestrator & Cluster Daemon
Side Project • DevOps
Individual Role: DevOps & Systems Automation Engineer
StreamCheck is a cloud deployment orchestrator and daemon cluster manager coordinating real-time live-stream ingestion, web telemetry servers, and cross-platform notification pipelines using PM2 process clustering, automated health checks, and log aggregation.

System Architecture & Key Engineering Features
1. PM2 Process Cluster Orchestration (
ecosystem.config.js)Architected multi-process deployment configurations managing concurrent background daemons and telemetry web servers.
- Engineered dedicated process targets (
streammonitor,streamweb) with isolated Python virtual environment runtimes. - Configured restart throttling (
restart_delay,max_restarts) and exponential backoff parameters preventing CPU spikes during external network outages. - Structured unified log aggregation with ISO timestamp prefixes (
merge_logs: true) across standard output and error streams.
module.exports = {
apps: [
{
name: 'streammonitor',
script: 'main.py',
interpreter: './venv/bin/python',
restart_delay: 5000,
max_restarts: 10,
merge_logs: true,
time: true
}
]
};
2. Multi-Platform Streaming Pipeline Synchronization
Integrated live-stream WebSocket monitoring pipelines with downstream social notification adapters.
- Coordinated streaming event listeners detecting room status transitions (stream start, live PK events, stream end) in real-time.
- Automated cross-posting workflows dispatching alerts to social platforms via API clients upon target streamer activity.
3. Linux Production Hardening & Automation
Implemented comprehensive deployment scripts and process health-checking workflows for production VPS environments.
- Automated dependency verification scripts checking Python version constraints, system packages, and virtual environments.
- Configured log rotation policies to prevent disk exhaustion during multi-month continuous monitoring operations.
